Info Days have been organized at 14 public universities and faculties across Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to present the project E4U implemented in the second consecutive year by the European Union and to give an opportunity to students to express their attitudes about the state of the country.
Twenty-one local self-governance units from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) have expressed their will to ensure better citizens’ participation in decision making processes on local level, within the Regional Program on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD), which is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP.

The EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH welcome the adoption of the Strategic Plan of Rural Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Council of Ministers, as well as by Entities’ and Brcko District’s governments.
This country-wide Strategic Plan will create more synergies between sectors of food safety, veterinary, phyto-sanitary and rural development needed for the overall sustainable economic growth of BiH.
Head of EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark on Monday, November 7th, launched the EBRD’s Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Facility is part of the wider EU-funded Regional Energy Efficiency Programme Plus (REEP Plus) for Western Balkans, which includes a grant package worth EUR 30 million of IPA funds for energy efficiency investments in the residential sector.
As a part of the EU Info Centre (EUIC) activity “The EUIC is Your Guest “, the EUIC BiH library, containing over 50 publications on policies, programs and topics related to the European Union will in the forthcoming period be available in the EU Info Points in Mostar, Banja Luka and Brčko. The literature is intended for the academic community, students and all interested citizens. On 27 October, in the premises of the EUIC, professor of the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo, Nedžma Džananović Miraščija, acquainted the students of the Istočno Sarajevo Law School and Faculty of Political Science of Sarajevo with this useful and valuable collection. Next week, the library will be traveling to Mostar, where it will remain available for students and citizens until the end of November, and then proceed to Brčko, where it will remain the whole of December.
About a hundred decision-makers, civil society actors, experts and young people gathered in Sarajevo on 3 October 2017 for the conference “Every Child Needs a Family”. The event was organised by the Joint Committee on Human Rights of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and UNICEF, as part of the EU-funded project “Transformation of Care Institutions and Prevention of Family Separation”.

Today the Commission issued a set of guidelines on the application of EU food and consumer laws to dual quality products, as announced by President Juncker in this year’s State of the Union speech.
The guidelines will help national authorities to determine whether a company is breaking EU laws when selling products of dual quality in different countries.
